now where do i recognize this from...

lml

Mimì -- (in desperation)
Rodolfo,... Rodolfo loves me,
but flees me, my poor Rodolfo
is jealous; he is in torment.
The slightest gesture, a smile,
a flower will arouse his suspicions.
Then he grows vexed and angry.
At night I pretend to be sleeping,
I feel him staring intently at my face
as if to see my dreams. He shouts at
me so harshly "You're not right for me,
so find yourself another"
"You're not right for me"
Alas, Alas! What can I do?
It's the conflict within him that's
speaking, I know; but what can
I say to him Marcello?

arLia1 01: howd you like the act nite?
cheetahkeys: it was ok
cheetahkeys: n/o but personally i'm gettin to a point where i'm not that fond of lifeteen
arLia1 01: anything specific why?
cheetahkeys: just, all the rules n regulations n we can't just chill out n talk there always has to be an activity where they're splitting us up or some shit
cheetahkeys: n like
cheetahkeys: i'd rather call up a bunch of friends n go hang out at the beach or the mall or even walk to a restaurant, get some food, n just chill n talk
cheetahkeys: w/out the rules n crap
arLia1 01: oh, yah
cheetahkeys: n all the lil games are kinda immature
arLia1 01: ic
arLia1 01: hehe lol
cheetahkeys: i'm sorry
cheetahkeys: i feel kinda like i'm betraying sister n everything
arLia1 01: well, i didnt really think about i tlike that
cheetahkeys: well i mean if you think about it it's almost like a day care for us
cheetahkeys: i mean
cheetahkeys: we can't go outside
cheetahkeys: we always have to be under adult supervision
cheetahkeys: we can't ever do our own thing
cheetahkeys: n maybe it's just cuz i'm rebellious by nature but i don't think kids who are 14 n older should be treated like that
arLia1 01: ... wow lol
arLia1 01: ur rite, i didnt really look at the whole picture like that
arLia1 01: like how last year we could walk around outside or get into the cshool easy cuz for like the first half, there was no structured actvity-thing
cheetahkeys: lol sorry
cheetahkeys: yeah
arLia1 01: no, sorry here lol
arLia1 01: yah
cheetahkeys: n i mean like
cheetahkeys: idk
cheetahkeys: like even when i was with some friends once idk even who it was you mighta been there n we were talking on the stairs n taking pictures n someone i think it was tracy came in n yelled at us to come inside
cheetahkeys: n i mean
cheetahkeys: idk
arLia1 01: im figuring they they were like, ok, this is the first one of the year, there'll be more new peolpe tonight than any other nite, lets have it all planned out; later they might be more ;normal;
cheetahkeys: i mean
cheetahkeys: but i mean, like, the strictness
cheetahkeys: they treat us like we're lil kids
cheetahkeys: n we're not
cheetahkeys: i mean some people there are like grown up
cheetahkeys: desi's almost 18
cheetahkeys: or is she?
arLia1 01: yeah
cheetahkeys: n i mean it's like
cheetahkeys: why go do something like that when we could do something like hang out at the beach for more than 2 hours or hit the mall or the arcade or go to the movies or go over someone's house n watch a movie n play ddr or even just walk to friendly's or pizza hut
arLia1 01: well, theres no reason we cant do that, instead
cheetahkeys: but you guys love going to lifeteen
cheetahkeys: it's like the highlight of everyone's life
arLia1 01: but what else does it hafta contend with? its all we ever to get together, at least on some sort of schoedule
cheetahkeys: that response didn't make sense grammatically so i dind't know what you wer trying to say lol
arLia1 01: *schedule
cheetahkeys: were*
arLia1 01: *all we ever do to get together
arLia1 01: hafta -> have to
arLia1 01: sry lol
cheetahkeys: but coudln't we schedule like a weekly time n stuff
cheetahkeys: to hang out
cheetahkeys: like every friday night or saturday night or sunday afternoon
cheetahkeys: idk
arLia1 01: sure, we could, just no one ever thinks of this at the right time to do something about it
cheetahkeys: just me being random
cheetahkeys: but i mena like
cheetahkeys: not a random thing to do
arLia1 01: well, its something we could start planning
cheetahkeys: like every week we would do this
cheetahkeys: but idk how it would work
cheetahkeys: cuz jay n des n maggie would still do lifeteen
cheetahkeys: n what about lissa n josh n matt
cheetahkeys: what would they say?'
arLia1 01: i figure lissa would, n/o, hang on to lifeteen; im sure josh'd be game, matt'd probly say he cant get to town 2x in a week cuz of lifeteen and that
arLia1 01: idk
arLia1 01: hey, how are you doing on the stuff for confirmation? the essays, the stuff on the papers, etc. for sister/
arLia1 01: *?
cheetahkeys: haven't started them yet
cheetahkeys: have you?
arLia1 01: hehe
cheetahkeys: that's a no lol
arLia1 01: no, im probly gonna find myself bs-ing it, for lack of a better word, tuesday nite
cheetahkeys: lol same
arLia1 01: except the "please explain here in these three tiny ltitle lines the full meaning of the reason you want to recieve confirmation, in great detail and summing up your innermost private relationship with Jesus
arLia1 01: "^
cheetahkeys: lmao
cheetahkeys: gotta love confirmation
arLia1 01: im still figuring out how to word it exactly so it gets everything i want to say (to the ppl) across
cheetahkeys: lmao you're actually trying
cheetahkeys: this is what i put:
cheetahkeys: "i want to become closer to God and to Jesus, and i hope to receive all the sacraments i can in my life as a Christian'
arLia1 01: okay
cheetahkeys: lol
arLia1 01: well, for me, like, that nite, all the stuff sister was throwing at us started to get me a bit upset at them, an' on top of that ive got stuff for my school life, and then she was being reallly vague about a lot of stuff- its almost like she doesnt' want to make anyone's choices for them, but she knows exactly what she wants them to decide
arLia1 01: am i making any sense there?
cheetahkeys: totally
cheetahkeys: i felt the exact same way
cheetahkeys: i was really pissed that now we get homework in confirmation too
cheetahkeys: i have enough on my back w/school
arLia1 01: shoot
arLia1 01: sorry, but mom doesnt want me up this late lol
arLia1 01: if she catches me...
cheetahkeys: you g2g?
arLia1 01: yeh
arLia1 01: :-(
cheetahkeys: damn
cheetahkeys: that's ok
arLia1 01: but ill try to be around tomorro or somethign
cheetahkeys: cool
arLia1 01: im trying to write this all up and blog it, you can look there if im not around tomorro
arLia1 01: oky, so ttys
cheetahkeys: kk
cheetahkeys: ttyss
cheetahkeys: byezz <333
arLia1 01: xo <3>
arLia1 01: lol
cheetahkeys: \V/

Auto response from arLia1 01: You will never understand
How it feels to live this life
With no meaning or control
And with nowhere else to go
You're amazed that they exist
And they burn so brightly
You can only wonder why

ACTing

lml

mags and i got into a long chat the other nite. i forget how we got onto the subject, tho i have the chat saved, but we got talking about lifeteen this year. to sum up what we came up with,
  1. they're being far too lenient about who they let join act- there are way too many peole who just come to talk and eat, and its not a catholic teen group anymore, its just competition to FYI.
  2. a good number of people who were there last year say its alot different, not really for good. the activities are less interesting, more geared towards 5th graders or so, there's very little control over the kids- mostly because so many of them aren't the ..desirable {to overgeneralize, ppl who havent been to yop or cyfm}...type to have there, theres' about no real spiritual stuff going on. oh, and also, the song Sanctuary was getting old about 4 lifeteens ago lmao.
  3. we started working out this idea, like, you let ppl come to maybe a month's worth, 2 or so lifeteens, then if they want to stay in, they have to do monthly service hours- goes for everyone. this:
  • filters out all the people who arent serious enough about it to care and who wouldnt consider it worth doing hours for (dont make it cost money b/c then you'll lose the ppl we want to keep and its less of a cost to the 'others' cuz its not as personal/no cost to them- parents might pay, dont care about the money, etc)
  • good way to uphold the reputation as a 'catholic teen group' (& keep active in the community)
  • figuring that the ppl who have been to yop or cyfm wont mind a whole lot doing some extra work for this.
uhh thats all i really remember... im sick, so im gonna turn in early
got the Beatles on, yeah
haha random
lovin The Cage, sonataArctica

the last few days

lml

i was gonna blog something kinda important here, i cant remember what i wanted to talk about. guess the blogger revival's done lol
but also some very interesting stuff from bio class

we got onto the subject of organ donors. 2 questions were asked:
1. what if you're still alive when they take everything out?
:: go ahead, laugh if you will, blanch if you will, but its got a dead... pardon the pun... serious answer: they actually keep your body alive in most cases till they match you up with a donee. like, they keep you on a heart-and-lung machine to keep the organs alive, so according to some definitions, you are alive when they ... gut you. also heard that in the 50s or so, when this was becoming popular, some doctors refused to do the surgery... because when they made the incisions, the "dead body" groaned. really makes you wonder. even though they were "clinically" dead. so we got abit into the question of what defines "dead". braindead is the state of having your higher brain functions- thought, motor control, etc. showing null activity on a brain moniter ekcg whatever the acronym is. however, your 'lower' functions- breathing, heartbeat, reflexes... can still be fully functional. example- you could be breathing and your heart beating on its own, and simply totally unresponsive, and be dead as far as courts and the doctors are concerned. example- terry schaivo. not much needs to be said there, but she was self-sufficiant, almost, and was starved to 'death'- i emphasize that because, according to some doctors, she was dead already. and then here we can get into what constitutes death, and so what defines life, and abortion rights, and stem cell research. but thats the next blog. or after that.
2. what if someone's declared dead, but they're in a deep coma or
something?
hehe. not nice. think about it: you go to bed one night with a headache, or whatever, maybe feeling fine. the next time you wake up its pitch black, and you're in a tiny box, laying on your back, with to air, food, water, nothing at all. you lapsed into a coma while sleeping, so deep you didnt realize time passed, no dreams or higher brain function, and you were declared legally dead, and were buried. when do you wake up? of course. or if you're lucky you'll wake up in the morgue freezer. thats hoping you didnt wake up during the autopsy. gah. in victorian times (18th century), they were prepared for this lol- they built coffins with little holes running through them with the cord for a bell that was above ground of the grave, and they put the other end in the dead person's hand- if you wake up, just pull on the string, and hopefully people will be running to dig you up. ughh. wonder how many kids ran around pulling the cords for kicks lol.

:There are precious few at ease
With moral ambiguities
and so we act as though they don't exist::

oh, btw, nowadays doctors administer anesthesia to the dead people before they take out organs. no more groaning there. then again, i somehow doubt dead peolpe groan, except in hollywood. and so if you're groaning then you can't be dead, eh? so if you aren't dead, then what the hell is that guy with the scalpel doing??
